Preventative Dentistry

Caring for our patients' dental health is not just a question of treating any problems that occur, it is first and foremost about continual monitoring, backed by preventive advice and treatment to prevent problems developing in the first place.

Relaxation Techniques

Whilst there really is no reason to feel nervous these days, we can help patients who still do experience anxiety with a range of therapies including relative analgesia. Please ask for details.

Children

As a family practice we take great pride in helping our younger patients grow up with healthy teeth and gums. To protect them from the risk of decay we offer some highly effective treatments like fissure sealants and fluoride.

The hygiene service is dedicated to looking after patient's oral health, and is the cornerstone of our adult preventative programme. Good oral hygiene is not only essential for fresh breath but has a vital role to play in keeping teeth for life.

Sterilisation

Patients can be assured that we follow the most stringent sterilisation procedures - dental instruments are sterilised by autoclave and other items are disposed of after use. We have an autoclave in each surgery which superheats the instruments and is the safest method available.

Technology

We pride ourselves on providing a service at the forefront of innovation. For example, we have an inter-oral camera which enables us to show close-up pictures of patients' teeth and gums on a TV screen to illustrate problem areas and cosmetic improvements.

Advanced Dentistry

All our dentists attend regular postgraduate training to keep abreast of the latest techniques. We also have a visiting orthodontist, Sarah Turner, and minor oral surgery is performed by Simon Moore.

We offer special treatments to whiten stained and discoloured teeth, and stock a range of whitening products. Our hygienist is also equipped with an Air Flow Polisher which can remove staining and leaves teeth with a really smooth feel

Dentures

We see dentures as an important area of cosmetic dentistry. We use the finest materials to produce long lasting quality and the latest techniques to match the design to the personal characteristics of the patient. Our aim is to create a denture so natural in appearance that even a dentist couldn't tell.

Anyone whose partner snores knows that it's no joke but fortunately there is now an answer. We can produce an appliance which is worn in the mouth at night and reduces or stops snoring all together.
