Dentists

All our dentists bring their own strengths to the practice; all have their own special interests, and our practice is, as a consequence, stronger as a whole. Our staff attend courses, both external and organised in-house to ensure that we are able to provide the newest and safest treatment to our patients.

Carlton Morris

Carlton graduated from Guy’s in 2000 and in the year following, he completed his Vocational Training in East London.

He worked in Bromley in Kent for a further five years, before working at Tavistock House in 2007 and subsequently taking over as principal dentist in 2008.  Whilst in general practice, Carlton has furthered his skills by gaining additional training and certification in a wide range of disciplines including cosmetic veneer and aesthetic restorative courses, as well as successfully completing a year-long course in Implantology at Manchester Trafford General Hospital from 2003-2004, learning to place and restore Dental Implants using four different implant systems.

Carlton lists as his professional interests Oral Surgery and Cosmetic Dentistry. In 2006 he went on a Voluntary trip to Tanzania with Bridge2Aid, to teach rural clinical officers how to get locals out of dental pain and to take teeth out and sterilise instruments without access to electricity or running water!

He has a Special Interest in Aesthetic Treatment of teeth and he enjoys taking before and after photos of his work to show his patients!  He is a certified provider for Smilelign (clear aligners) and the Cfast cosmetic aligner system.

Carlton is a member of the British Dental Association and the Oxford Dental Implant Association.

Outside of work, Carlton enjoys reading, travelling and enjoying quality family time -he has 2 young daughters that keep him busy!

Henrietta Bors

Henrietta joined Tavistock House in January 2014.

She qualified from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, in 2005 and subsequently worked as an assistant lecturer whilst carrying out extensive postgraduate training in Prosthodontics and Conservative Dentistry, before working in practiced in Buckinghamshire, Yorkshire and Budapest.

Apart from providing general dental and implant treatments, Henrietta has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry including tooth whitening, composite bonding, composite and porcelain veneers. She is also a certified provider of different tooth alignment systems such as the Inman Aligner, CFast and INVISALIGN and she recently undertook extensive training in aesthetic minimal invasive dentistry and advanced restorative dentistry. She offers minimal invasive smile makeovers and treatment of worn dentition and full mouth rehabilitation.

She enjoys using a professional dental camera system to plan treatments and design smiles and an intra-oral camera as well to help explain treatment plans and options to her patients.  Nervous patients have found that her calming manner helps them feel at ease.

Henrietta feels that offering the most advanced care possible to patients is very important so she invests a lot of time in professional training courses.

Away from work, Henrietta enjoys strength training, skiing, and travelling with her family.

Caroline Gerasch

Caroline qualified from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 2009 after which she completed a year’s service for the less fortunate in a small outreach hospital in Evander. Caroline worked in private practice in South Africa for 7 years before moving to England and joining Tavistock House. During her 7 years in private practice she completed further studies in the placement and restoration of implants and went on courses in cosmetic dentistry.

Caroline's friendly and calm manner helps nervous patients and children feel at ease. Her use of intra-oral photographs and detailed explanations of dental procedures allows patients to feel more relaxed in the dental chair with a better understanding of the work required. Caroline enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening and implantology.

Baha Bagdadi

Baha Bagdadi qualified in Turkey in 2001. He has worked as a Lieutenant Dental Officer in the Turkish Air Force before coming to the UK to practice.

Baha Bagdadi, a Speciality Doctor at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, with over 10-year’s experience working in University Hospitals in London and Oxford, attends to carry out some of the more complex Oral Surgery procedures at Tavistock House.

Hygienists

Our highly experienced hygienists help you look after your teeth, removing hard scale deposits (“calculus” or “tartar”) from above and below the gum line, polishing unsightly surface stains from teeth and advising the best way to look after your teeth and gums.

Karen Ward

Karen qualified in 1994 from Manchester Dental Hospital and started working part-time at Tavistock House in July 1995. Karen enjoys attending various postgraduate courses to keep up to date with current technology and has her hands full outside work looking after her two young children.

Sue Loftus

Sue qualified from King's College, London in 2003, where she won a patient care/ motivation award from Oral B. She previously worked at Tavistock House in the early 1990s as Mr Fuller's dental nurse. In her spare time Sue enjoys eating out, walking the dogs and spending the remainder with her two children.

Dental Nurses and Receptionists

All our staff take part in Continuing Professional Development, are registered with the General Dental Council, and are encouraged by the practice to improve their skills and further their knowledge in this exciting and ever changing field we are privileged to be working in. Each year we hold in-house training for all our staff in Infection Control, CPR and Basic Life Support, amongst others. We have sent our nurses on implant training and other courses, and we are always on the lookout for new materials and technology to enable us to deliver the best possible dental care to our patients.
